These Agents are split into four different classes: Initiator, Controller, Duelist, and Sentinel. Omen fits into the Controller category and can be pretty effective in the right hands. Let's take a look at Omen and some tips on how to get the most out of playing him:

One of Omen's abilities, Shrouded Step, allows him to teleport a short distance. In the first few seconds of a round, this can do a lot to confuse the enemy team; they'll be coming out and looking at where your team should have to exit from, but meanwhile, you've teleported somewhere they weren't looking and have an easy kill on your hands.
This definitely isn't something that's going to work every time, but it's a good way to get an early match advantage.

Sometimes in Valorant, you're going to get pinned down, forced into a location you don't necessarily want to be in, but you can't leave without getting your head taken off.
With Omen, escaping is pretty simple; just teleport through the enemy's line of sight and go along your merry way. The enemy might not even be the wiser that this happened, opening up the possibility of a pretty cheeky flank.

Omen's teleport also allows him to get some cool vertical angles not available to many different characters. Being in an unorthodox spot can really throw an enemy off, as they have to choose where to look when they round a corner. If they choose wrong, and they usually will if you're somewhere high that is generally inaccessible to most characters, then you've got another free kill, ripe for the taking.

By the time the next round comes along, they may choose to look at the vertical angle first; play the ground-level angle, and you've just scored a second free kill.

Omen, like a few other characters in Valorant , has access to smoke cover with his Dark Cover ability. He can use this ability through walls, and can precisely control the distance at which the smoke activates, making him the Agent with some of the most accurate smoke in the game.
This smoke can be used to push an enemy team by taking away one of their sightlines and rushing the site, though this can be an incredibly risky tactic.

This smoke can also be used to the advantage of the defenders. This smoke can force Attackers to enter a site blindly, making them easy pickings unless they choose the right angle to look at immediately upon leaving the smoke.
The odds of this are pretty low, especially if you aren't standing the same place every single defensive round.

Omen has another ability, Paranoia, which doesn't necessarily blind the enemy team, but it does limit their vision enough to give you a severe advantage in the gunfight.
